October's Dance Opservation

Kaylie is taking her first dance class. She attends one day a week for an hour. In that hour she learns ballet and tap. In October and once more in December family members are invited to visit the class and she what they have been learning. Unfortunately my camera was acting funny so my pictures turned out really bad, so there are a lot of videos instead. Kaylie is the one with pumpkins in her hair .

Here they are all curled up pretending to be bears all curled up and sleeping I think????

Things I love this month

I can not believe how time flies. I know time went fast for Daniel and Kaylie but I don't think it ever went this fast. Peter is now 7 1/2 months old. He loves everyone and will always give them a smile but he kicks and wiggles and starts to laugh when ever his mom enters the room. He loves to eat and thinks he should be able to eat anything we are eating. He also loves to drink from my water glass. He has learned how to pick up cheerios and puffs with his finger, but is not a 100% yet at getting them in his mouth every time. He has also recently learned how to wave hello, so cute!!!! I am expecting him to crawl any time now.

I love for anyone to stack the blocks up so I can knock them down.

Daniel and Peter have a special way to communicate with each other. I loved watching them so much that I forgot to grab the camera till the very end.

I came home last week from YW's to have Daniel run out of his room to tell me that Peter had learned something new all on his own. I thought it might have been how to crawl; but no, he had a much bigger plan. He figured out how to pull himself up to a standing position in his crib. This is a video of him doing just that the next morning.

How I get around but not liking it at all. Peter has no problem being on his stomach but when he has had enough he starts to push himself backwards and get mad. AKA the funny video above.

Halloween 2011

We had so much fun this year!!! I know I have the cutest kids in the whole wide world. Daniel was Obi-Wan Kenobi, Kaylie was Fawn the Animal Fairy from the Tinker-Bell Movies and Peter was a Sugar Snap Pea in a Pod. I was so afraid we would be trecking through snow this year but thankfully the storm missed us and the snow we did get melted in two days.

Decorating Pumpkins

So about a week later we decorated the pumpkins for FHE. Daniel wanted to carve his pumpkin and Kaylie wanted to paint. Peter's just stayed little and cute.

After we were all done with our pumpkin activity and singing our closing songs Peter figured out he could lean over Jeff's legs and pull Daniels hair and make him laugh and yell. These two were having sooooooo much fun together.

Pumpkin Patch

This year we didn't know if we would be able to go to the Pumpkin Patch this year. It was flooded after hurricane Irene came through. Only one pumpkin survived, however they were able to buy pumpkins whole sale and we were able to enjoy their wonderful apple cider donuts, a tractor ride through the desolate pumpkin fields and a few other attractions that survived the flood before the kids picked out their pumpkins.

Kaylie's 4th Birthday!

How time does fly. Kaylie turned 4 this fall and wanted a princess themed party.We had it Saturday morning before the Conference sessions started. All the little girls came as their favorite princess and Mason and Daniel the lone boys dressed up as knights. I only have pictures of Kaylie, Daniel and Mason for right now until I know if it is okay to post the pictures with the other little girls all dressed up and looking so cute!!! As well as loving to look like a princess Kaylie also loves to sing and dance around our house. She also loves Tinkerbell and playing with her babies. She also loves to do anything crafty. She is such a sweet girl. Happy Birthday Kaylie!!

This is Kaylie in her fairy costume that Grandma Nanette made her. Kaylie loves Tinkerbell so she got a barbie sized doll of Tinker bell from Grandma Nanette and Grandpa Terry. Don't I have a talented mom, I could never sew something like this. Thanks mom!

Peter's Summer Pictures

So this is a loooooooooong post, but we have taken a lot of pictures the last few months with the many changes Peter seems to do daily. He has grown up so fast. These pictures and videos go from newest to oldest.

We haven't had many nice days the last month, so on one of them we called up some friends and went to the park. It just happened to be the day Peter turned 6 months old and I got some great shots of him sitting up all by himself playing with his toys.

This is his favorite thing to chew on his fingers and thumb!!!!

Among playing well, sitting up all by myself for the last month I have started solid food and find it fabulous. I also love drinking from mom's water glass. I have recently learned how to shake my head "no" and love to do it at anything and anyone with a smile on my face, especially when mom shakes her head "yes". Video will be coming soon of this.

Peter recently learned how to roll from his stomach to his back. This video was taken a day or so after his first roll over so it is a little long, but none the less cute.

We hope that the dance class will help her come out of her shy shell a little bit and get her ready to be in kindergarten next fall. Here are some pictures I took of the kids together from June through August.

Daniel's 6th Birthday!!!!

It is hard to believe that six years ago I gave birth to this tiny baby boy who had my heart long before he was born. He has grown into such an amazing, kind hearted, and funny boy. Happy Birthday Daniel, I love you!!!

Daniel is into many things so when talking about what he would like to do for his birthday this year we narrowed it down to two themes. Pirates won out. So I made two pirate ship birthday cakes, yo-ho-ho soda and shiver me timber pizza. After pizza and cake the boys listened to a tale about Daniel's imaginary twin brother Pirate the Patriote and his hidden treasure. The boys then had to follow a series of clues to find the treasure. Some of the things the boys did on their treasure hunt were walking through a cave of spiders, hopping over a river of hot lava, having to fight the natives with buccaneer pistols(aka water guns) while they attacked with water balloons, and slip'n sliding through dragon invested waters. They had a blast.

Here are a couple of pictures of his cake. I was able to find special pirate character candles, that is what is floating in the water with the fish.

Palmyra New York

While my parents were out we went to Palmyra, NY to see the historic sites and see the pageant.
Jeff was not able to go with us because he has to leave to Boston very early the next morning to work in the temple, and we didn't get home until 3 o'clock in the morning.

Blessing Day

FHE

So we had a great idea to take the kids and go bowling for FHE one night. I have signed the kids up for the summer bowl for free program and thought it would a be cheep fun evening. Boy, has

Mohawk River

On the 5th of July Jeff, Kaylie, Daniel, Grandpa and I got to go canoeing along the Mohawk River while Grandma stayed home with Peter. The kids had so much fun and it was a perfect day to be on the river. The kids even got their own paddles and had so much fun trying to help paddle. They are already looking forward to the next time. Thanks Grandpa it was so much fun!!!

4th of July 20011

So this 4th of July was really special because we had Grandma Nanette and Grandpa Terry with us. The day was packed full of fun and excitement and a lot of pictures. Because we did have so many pictures I made up three collages from most of the days events.

This is a few pictures from our annual 4th of July Church Breakfast. This year we did something a little different after breakfast. This year all the kids got to bring their bikes and decorate them for a parade. Daniel also was able to get his face painted by one of the brotheren in the ward. The kids had so much fun. Kaylie was one of the last kids to give up riding in circles for our parade route.

After the church breakfast Jeff dropped the kids and I off to save seats for the parade and went and picked up Grandma and Grandpa to join us. Each year Clifton Park holds a 4th of July Parade and it seems that anyone who owns a Corvette drives in it as well as at least 3 Fire Departments, as well as Shen's Color Guard, a few horses, are Towns Veteran's and many other people. The kids love it because they can get free candy!

After the parade the kids came home and played in the sprinklers for awhile and then Jeff came up with a great idea to find a fire pit and roast hot dogs and marshmellows together. We all had a blast. Peter got to ride his first horse and everyone got worn out. Eventually we came home and then Jeff, the kids and Grandpa went to watch fireworks while Grandma, Peter and I hung out at home and watched them on tv and fell asleep. All in all it was one of those few perfect days you get and remember for ever!!!

Animal Land

The day after Grandma Nanette arrived in NY for her visit we took the kids to the Animal Land Park in Gloversville, NY for the first time. We had so much fun!!! It was also freezing!! Grandma ended up buying Kaylie and Daniel both sweatshirts to wear while we were there, and this was the last week of June. So here are a few pictures from that outing.

One of the camels that followed us on our safari ride. They certainly were very demanding when it came to their food. One of the camels was named Liver Lips and she had the biggest, purpliest lips I have ever seen. Also during this ride we got to see two ostrich nests with eggs in them. That was really cool.

These two videos are of the kids feeding the black bears. All over the park they had set ups likes these for the visitors to be able to feed all and any of the animals. We thought this was such an amazing idea. It made it possible to feed bears, zebras, deer, monkeys, and many other animals.

There were two bears in this exhibited but one of the bears was hogging all of the fruit loops, and the other one was pacing up and down wanting its turn.

Butterflies

Last year Daniel received a butterfly home for his birthday last year and this Spring we got our first set of pupa to hatch into butterflies. Here are some pictures of the different stages and the fun day of letting them go on Memorial Day. Thanks Paulette, we can't wait to get some more for next year.

On one of the few lovely days this past week Lily and Mason came over to play on the swing set and the kids ended up playing in the mud and loving it. This first picture is Kaylie before Daniel got home from school and the Newman's came over. She loves being big enough to go play in the back yard by herself.

Spring Break and Easter Weekend

We had a great Easter and Spring Break. The weather was a little iffy, but we made the best of it. Below is a picture of Kaylie and Peter. She loves holding her little brother. I can get her to smile for the camera every time if she has Peter in her arms. She is so looking forward to him moving into her room with him in the next couple of weeks.

Here are my two boys. It is so amazing to me to think that Daniel used to be the size of Peter. Here he is helping me burp Peter so that I can finish getting dinner made. He loves helping me out.

During spring break we were able to get the kids a swing set. Our friends kids had outgrown it and they were looking to get rid of it, so we said we would love it. The kids have had a blast playing on it every day it wasn't raining. These are a few pictures of the day we got it and of Jeff finishing putting it together. Thank you Nelson family!!

Yea it is finished!!!!

The Thursday before Easter we had some friends come over and we decorated Easter Eggs. Here is a picture of Daniel and Kaylie's eggs they dyed and decorated. They loved eating the boiled eggs.

On Friday we decided to have an Easter egg hunt for the kids. This was the only really nice day of Spring Break so we took advantage of it, and Jeff was going to be gone all day on Saturday. Here are a few pictures of the kids having a blast finding all of the eggs Jeff and I hid for them.

So Easter morning arrives and we have church at 9am so there is never any time for pictures or any extras and get to church on time, so I planned to take some fun Easter pictures of the three kids together after church. Well, life had other plans. We got home from church, I fed Peter and before I could get to the changing table to change Peter's diaper he had peed through his Easter outfit. So this is a picture later of the kids in pj's and other clothes. Easter outfit pictures another day.

Five weeks old

Here are a few pictures I took of Peter on Saturday. He is five weeks old, and weighs about 9lbs. and his close to 21" long. He has definitely grown since he was born, and becoming more alert and starting to coo to you.

Between the Saturday Conference sessions it was nice enough to take the kids to the park to play. Here are a few photos of that hour.

So the other morning I was making breakfast when I looked out my kitchen window and saw a turkey. Before I new it close to a dozen turkey's were walking through out backyard heading for our drive way. The kids thought it was so neat to see a flock of turkey in our yard.

Here they are in the front yard at the end of the drive way in a single file line. Daniel wanted to get the car out and follow them. It is funny because we have now seen turkey's, a fox, a possum, and a weasel in our yard.

We got to celebrate Jeff's birthday last Monday night. I decided to put 42 candles on his cake and light them. I don't think I will be doing that next year. Half of them were almost gone by the time they were all lit.

And being Jeff, he wanted to keep the cake germ free so instead blowing out the candles he waved a folder and made a funny face, and I was actually able to catch it in just one shot. Happy Birthday honey!

Grandma Brenda was able to come out just a few days after Peter was born to help for about a week. It was so great to have you. Thanks for all you did. The kids keep asking when you are coming out again. Here are some pictures from your visit.

One Week Old

These are a few of the pictures I took of Peter at a week old. I can't believe how the week has flown. Between sleepless nights and busy days, I can't imagine why time speeds by. He has put all the weight back on he lost in the hospital and is back up to 7lbs. 4 oz. He has such a sweet disposition and loves to cuddle into your neck. When he does he looks like a peanut.

Here are a couple of feet shots, and I liked how they looked in black in white. The one below is the one my mother in law likes better, and since I couldn't decide I put both up.

Sunday--The day we came home from the hospital

Peter and I came home from the hospital on Sunday afternoon. I don't know who was more excited for us to come, the kids or Jeff. Sunday morning Jeff and the kids went to Gloversville to listen to Jeff give a talk as a High Councilman and then they came to get Peter and I. As soon as we got home the kids wanted to hold Peter and I took a couple of pictures, here are three of my favorites.

Peter Yeager's Arrival

Peter Watson Yeager arrived in the early morning hours of Friday March 11, 2011. Weighing in at 7 lbs. 4oz. and 17 1/2 inches long. Wednesday I started having back spasms on and off all day and didn't realize I was having back labor till Thursday morning. Then Thursday evening my water broke right before I was going to go out to dinner with a friend. By the time Peter was delivered I had experienced back labor, normal stomach labor, and thigh labor. Who knew you could have contractions in your thighs! Lets just say I was very greatful when Peter finally arrived.

In February we had our 4th snow day of the year. Daniel and Jeff had fun building a huge sled run and going down it. Here are a few videos of that day.

Snow Cave Time

This February Jeff and Daniel spent the day building a snow cave to sleep in. Jeff ended up being the only one who lasted the whole night. However, Kaylie, Daniel had fun trying to sleep outside in the snow with Dad.

Surprise Weekend Home Improvement Project

So who would of thought a leaky faucet would equal two new sinks, faucets and vanity top. So our hall bathroom had some leaky sinks, and Jeff was able to fix them once before, but they were old and started to leak again. So Friday night Jeff decided to try and fix them one more time. This time he took the faucet out and took it to Home Depot for some help. They told him that they don't make those size and type of faucets anymore, and that he had two options. First, was to try and fix the internal parts, or 2nd was a new sink and faucet because a new faucet wouldn't fit into the old sink. So Jeff decided to try and fix the internal parts first. He brought the new parts home put them in the old faucets and nothing!! The old faucets decided to totally give out, so it was new sink and faucet time. Well, Jeff got everything unhooked underneath and went to pull out the first old sink and all the little tiles decided to come up with the sink. Lets just say it was a very frustrating Friday night. So he spent the rest of Friday night pulling tiles up and getting the bathroom ready for a long Saturday project. Early Saturday morning Jeff headed back to Home Depot for some help on putting in a new vanity top and sinks. He was saddled with a picture of the bathroom vanity after the sinks were out and the measurements of the sink, and hoping for a realistically reasonable solution. Thank goodness Heavenly Father was watching out for Jeff and we got one. Below are some pictures of the day and how it progressed. Daniel was so excited to be Jeff's helper. I am so proud of Jeff, he has never done something like this, and he did a great job. Thanks Danny for the use of your jig saw, could not have done this with out it.

Aunt Megan's Visit

This past week my sister came to visit and help us out, due to the fact I am now on bed rest to try and help my water not break and not go into pre-term labor with this little boy. Unfortunately, the pictures and videos of Daniel and Megan ice skating, Megan dusting using the kids and dancing ended up on her camera and we forgot to download them to our computer, but here is what I have from her visit. This is one afternoon Daniel and Megan went out to play in the snow. Thanks for all of your help Megan!!!!

Christmas Break

We had a wonderful Christmas break this year. Jeff had 2 days off ahead of Daniel and was able to help out in Daniel's class one of those days. Daniel was so excited to have his Dad come in. Then he was able to help me out at home to finish up Christmas preparations. It was so nice having him home those two days. On Christmas Ever we had a nice quiet evening at home. We read the Christmas story and the kids got to open one present each. On Christmas Day the kids had blast opening their presents.Thank to all our family who made it such a great Christmas. Below are some pictures Jeff, and the kids enjoying some of their presents. Christmas evening we went over to our friends the Newman's home and had a great dinner and fun playing a couple of games. A couple of days later Jeff and Daniel took their new ice skates to the pond by our house to go ice skating for the first time this season. It was the second time Daniel had been on skate. He did such a good job. I will try and post a video of him skating later.

October in Review

Here are some pictures of some of the things we did as a family this October. It has been a very busy and exciting month. For those of you who don't know we also found out that we will be having a little boy in March. Daniel is so excited to have a brother. Kaylie is excited about the baby, but would really like it to be a sister.

On Columbus Day Jeff and I took to the kids to a pumpkin patch and had a blast. We are planning to make this a family tradition. We all really enjoyed the fresh, hot apple cider donuts. YUM!!!!!! There is also a video of Daniel trying to roll down the Jack and Jill Hill. It is hilarious!

A couple of weeks later the kids got to carve and paint their pumpkins. Daniel wanted to try and carve a pumpkin for the first time. He picked out the design and I helped him cut out the mouth and even up the eyes and nose, but he had a blast scooping out the inside. We later roasted the seeds and he and Jeff loved them. Kaylie loved painting her pumpkin. She put all different colors on it but in the end the all messed together to make a tan pumpkin, but she loved it.

Daniel excitedly told me he wanted to be a frog this year for Halloween, but not any old green frog, he wanted to be a poison's tree frog. Talk about a homemade costume this year. Kaylie wanted to be a ladybug. I had fun making both kids costumes this year. We had our cousin's come over and went to our Ward's Trunk or Treat. The kids had a lot of fun acquiring their candy, but they loved looking at it all afterwards; especially Kaylie. It will be interesting to see what they want to be next year.

This set of pictures is of the kids having fun in the fall leaves this year. It took Kaylie awhile to want to roll and play in the leaves like her brother and when she finally did my battery died on my camera. That seems to be how it always works though. Here is hoping for another nice day so we can try for some more pictures.

Last but certainly not least are some fun pictures of the kids in October. The upper left hand corner picture is of the two of them dancing before church one Sunday. I had to put the one of Kaylie asleep on the couch in because she looks like such a cute angel and because she has decided for the most part to give up naps. Here is to growing up. Daniel and Kaylie both love to draw. Lately Daniel has been asking me to help him spell, which in and of its self is funny because I am a horrible speller. Here is to the day when he wants more than family names or cat and dog. Now Kaylie is wanting to spell like her big brother, lets hope they are both better than I am.

So it has been three months sense I have posted. Been a little busy and having a lot of fun. We have had a wonderful summer. We took a road trip to Ut. and along the way stopped in Ohio, S. Dakota, Wyoming, Missouri, Wisconsin and W. Virginia. Maybe someday I will post all the pictures but for now I will start with the most recent happenings in our family.

Daniel started kindergarten this past Monday. He has had a great week. On Monday morning I was able to get some great pictures of him and some good ones of Kaylie because she started pre-school Tuesday morning. Jeff is busy with a new school year, church and home. I was recently put into the YW's as the 2nd counselor, and I'm starting to get back on my feet after a few months of throwing up and being utterly exhausted. Yes, this means that our family is expecting baby #3, due the middle of March. We will be finding out in about a month what we are having. Daniel is routing for a boy.

So life is busy, but great. Hope you enjoy the pictures!!!

Two-wheeler Time

Daniel has been learning how to ride a two wheel bike this week. This is video is after two days of practice. I have been trying to get a video of Kaylie riding her tricycle, but she is a little harder to video tape. However both kids road their bikes tonight from our house to the near by park and back. I couldn't believer Kaylie actually pedaled the whole way. Both out kids our growing up way to fast.

Zoo Day

During the beginning of May a whole group of us went down to the Bronx's to go to the zoo. Here are a few pictures of the kids. Unfortunately we got separated from one family and I don't have any pictures of their kids. We had a bast seeing the baby lions and lots of other animals. It was a great day. This picture is of Kaylie trying on her new big girl underwear. Unfortunately life has been to crazy to devote several days in a row to potty training. Here is hoping for time in June.

This is just a very silly picture of Daniel when he had a shaggy mane. It was so long. His curls were even starting to come back, and he hated feeling his hair on his ears. Every time I look at this picture it just makes me laugh, Daniel however someday won't think it is to funny, but for now he laughs with when looking at it.

Baptism Weekend

So as many of you know my cousin got baptised this past weekend. My sister flew in from UT for it, and several of my cousins that live in Greenwich came. However the night before the baptism my sister and I were up very late finishing cakes and getting things ready to leave early Saturday morning to head to Greenwich. Well at about 11:30 at night I start to hem Jason's pants for the baptism. Now he is 6'4". For many reasons, most of them on the silly side I had my sister try his pants on and in the end after many laughs we decided she could do her own weight loss commercial.

Now, I love this one because it looks like Jason has a halo around his head. Remember he is 6'4".

Spring Is Here??????

We have had some gorgeous weather the past couple of days. The kids have enjoyed some picnics at the park and are loving being able to be outside in the sun shine. Lets hope it sticks around.

This morning we were coming home from VT and saw some bikes for sale. We knew Daniel was going to need a new bike this year and we found the one below at a great price. He was so excited to use his own money to buy himself the bike. He is also excited to learn how to ride without training wheels soon. My baby is growing up so fast. Tonight I register him for kindergarten. WOW, how time has flown!

Kaylie insists on dressing herself most days. One morning I was able to get the camera and get pictures of her putting on her socks. I love the concentration, and then when she realized what I was doing she turned her back on me. You got to love 2 year olds.

At the end of January Daniel was able to have one of his friends spend a few days with us while his parents were in Boston for work. They had a blast sleeping in Daniel's tepee tent, playing out side and playing cars. He is growing up so fast. It is hard for me to believe that this fall he will be starting kindergarten.

Kaylie has recently decided she needs a big girl bed just like her brother. So a couple of weeks ago we took to front railing off of her crib and made into a bed. December 2009

So this year December brought some unique experiences to our family, and some of them I would rather not experience again; so I will start at the end of December and move backwards.

New Years Eve was a quiet night at home playing games with Jeff after the kids went to bed, and eating shrimp and watching a movie with the kids before bedtime. What a great way to roll in 2010.

Below starts Christmas morning. We started off with a great breakfast and then reading the Christmas story from the Scriptures. After wards we had fun opening Christmas presents. Here are some of the toys the kids got from family. They had so much fun opening presents. Kaylie had a blast opening her own presents by herself. She loves playing with her baby dolls and so her Grandma Brenda got her, her first doll house. Kaylie has fun putting the baby in the bath tub. Daniel also had a great Christmas, and loves to chase and eat things with his dragon and dinosaur. We also had a great time going over to the Newman's later that day and eating a fantastic dinner and playing together.

Below starts Christmas Eve. That morning we had planned as a family to go up to Glenns Falls and walk in a "Support Our Troops" parade with my cousin who is in the National Guard. However that morning Daniel work up with a cough and swore throat, so Kaylie and I went and braved the 19* weather and walked 3 miles in the parade. We had a blast.

Also that night we decorated a star Christmas tree that their Grandma Nanette sent for them. Kaylies job was to put the mints on the stars as spacers and Daniels was to put the stars on after I had frosted the mints down. Jeff took pictures. The the kids had a blast sprinkling choc. coated sunflower seeds on their tree.

The kids having a blast decorating Christmas Cookies. Kaylie's favorite part was eating the candy. Daniel was such a great helper this year. The next day we decorated the rest of the cookies while Kaylie was taking a nap, and he help me get them all finished.

So you might be wondering why I would post this picture. This picture marked a big day in our lives this past month. Kaylie got sick on the 4th and we weren't to worried until she was still throwing up several days later and then on the 9th woke up refusing to drink and still throwing up. So we called her doctors again, and went in to see them. After seeing her doctor we headed for Albany Med., where after spending the afternoon in the ER Kaylie and I got emitted in the the Ped's unit. Kaylie did so well being prick and poked so many times. We were all very worried. After three days there she was finally able to keep food and liquids down, and we were both ready to come home. So Friday night when the doctor gave the okay to go home Kaylie was handing everything and anything to me so we could leave. She also had to walk out of the hospital on her own two feet. After all the tests the doctors ran they could never figure out exactly what has caused this. The name they gave Kaylie's virus when we lift as "virus gastroiditas" or in human language a stomach bug. So this picture is of Kaylie and Daniel the day after we got home, and we were so grateful to be home for many many reasons. Thank to all our friends and family for your love, prayers, and support. They were and are still greatly appreciated.

We hope 2010 can bring us a healthy family.

First Timer

This past Veterans Day, my friend Julie and I decided to do something neither one of us has ever done; and that was to run in a 5K. Clifton Park has a 5K Veterans Day Dash every year and we decided to run in it. Little did we know that of the 330 people that entered at least half of the runners were going to be middle school and high school kids, and most of those kids were athletes of some sort. We definitely felt out of our element, but the day was a cool 42*F with a lovely head wind in our faces the entire race. Julie finished a few seconds before me, and I finished with a time of 42:46, not bad for my first race. Maybe next time my nerves won't get the better of me. Any way we had a great time, and I have accomplished one of my many goals.

Fall

Although we have half as many leaves to rake up this year thanks to so many trees being cut down earlier this summer we still have an amazing amount of leaves. Halloween

This Halloween was so much fun. We borrowed the kids costumes from some friends, and I made Daniels Peter Pan Hat. I think our kids make the cutest Tinkerbell and Peter Pan ever. In the morning our neighborhood had a parade so we got the kids dresses up and participated in the parade. It was a beautiful morning. These are a few of the pictures I took that morning.

Jeff and I think we might have a dancer on our hands. She loved wearing her dress. I know this because we took it off of her several times throughout the day and every time I said lets get your Tinkerbell dress on she came running. Daniel also loved pretending he was Peter Pan.

That evening about 1/2hr before I told Daniel we would be going trick or treating it started to rain. I didn't know if we were going to be able to go out that night. Luckily we got a break in the storm and were able to go to a few houses, which made Daniels night. However we got caught in some of the rain trying to come home. These last to pictures are of our soggy Peter Pan and Tinkerbell who can not wait to eat some of the candy they were able to get that night. It was a great day.

Pumpkin Time

This October has been a busy one. Jeff has been gone almost every Saturday it seems. On the Saturday he went to Palmyra the kids and I tagged along with the Newman's to go pumpkin picking. It was such a beautiful day. Of course Kaylie didn't want to be put down till the very end when we got to see pigs, sheep, goats, bunny, geese, ducks, calf, turkey, and some other animals. The wagon ride or the pumpkins did win her over, it was the animals. I guess she is a lot like her mother, poor girl. Here is Daniel enjoying picking out pumpkins for himself, Kaylie and Jeff since he could be there with us.

That Sunday after Kaylies nap we got the paint and the kids and Jeff had a ball painting their pumpkins. This was Kaylies first time painting a pumpkin and she totally enjoyed herself.

This is the next day after they are dried. Kaylie however didn't want her picture taken.

Birthday's

This month we not only got to celebrate Kaylie turning 2, but my birthday also. However we only got pictures of Kaylies special night so I guess that means I never turned 31 and can look forward to that again next year. I wish, actually I did have a good birthday. Daniel kept asking all day if I was going to make my cake and I told him his dad was en charge of that. I had a nice chocolate cake with a raspberry filling. Now on to Kaylie's night. Since she loves babies I wanted to make her a baby doll cake, but I didn't want to spend $30 for a pan or shove a doll in a cake for her this year, so I was raking my brain on how I could make her a baby doll and this is what I came up with. It is patterned after one of her dolls.

She didn't want to blow out her candles. Daniel was excited to help her.

She loves puzzles so we got her some more for her birthday.

Daniel is enjoying her pony more than she was at that time.

And the stroller she loves to put 1-3 of her babies in and take for a ride.

Thank you to all her made this a special day for her. I can't believe how much our baby has grown up. She is now playing with babies herself, and loving to play in my makeup. She also loves to copy her brother, throw fits, color paper and herself, and sing "Old MacDonald." What a girl we have on our hands.

Apple Sauce

This fall I have been making applesauce. Kaylie and I have gone a couple of times while Daniel has been in pre-school. On one those occasions I decided to take some pictures of Kaylie enjoying the outdoors. If you look closely at this first picture you will see a bee on her shirt while she is starting to eat her apple.

The next picture the bee has gotten a little greedier and has actually moved to Kaylie's mouth. I guess he wanted to enjoy the apple also. She didn't know what to think. Luckily I was able to shoo it away before she got stung. I didn't even know the bee was on her mouth while I was taking the picture.

Now the kids are helping me make applesauce. Daniel had a lot of fun pushing the apples through the strainer, and Kaylie loved looking on and being part of the action.

On Wednesday and Thursday we took a family trip to Boston. Jeff and I took turns doing temple sessions and then Thursday we took the kids to the Boston Aquarium before we headed home. We had a blast. Daniel loved learning about baby turtles during the special meet an animal time for kids, and Kaylie loved being able to run around.

They also had to tidal pool where kids could touch star fish, sea urchins, hermit crabs and a horse shoe crab. Kaylie stuck her hand right in the water and grabbed a hold of a little sea star. Daniel on the other hand was hesitant to put his hands in the water, but eventually did.

It was an amazing trip, all but the $30 bucks we had to pay for parking, and that is after a $5 validation stamp. We recommend the aquarium to anyone, but do not park right next to it. There are defiantly cheaper places to park, you just have to walk. We were so upset when we realised how much it was going to cost, it was to late by then we were done and ready to go home.

Cutting Hair Day

This past week Jeff had off of work for Winter break. On Monday I cut both his and Daniel's hair. Jeff had fun with the camera and so we have some cute pictures of the kids during that time.

Of course Kaylie was in on the action with her lollipop. She was so happy to sit in her high chair while her Dad and then Daniel got their hair cut. Yea for sugar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

New Additions to Our Family

We have recently added two to our family. They are a brother and sister that we adopted from a rescue shelter. The little girls' name is Samie (on left) and her brother's is Jack(on right). The kids are loving them, and they are starting to love the kids, even when Kaylie does her kitty squeech and goes running after them. It took Jack a little more time to warm up to the kids, so all of the pictures that I have for right now of Samie, although Jack has become quit loving the past couple of days.

Kayie's Favorite Riding Toy

Kaylie has found that she can get on and off this toy all by herself and is enjoying the freedom of that. I find her throughout the day going into the family room and then hearing the music while she bounces on it. It is so fun to watch her enjoy herself so much.

Here are some new pictures of Kaylie. Here is one taken in December after she got a baby doll for Christmas. She loves to carry it around and give it hugs, and rock it to rock-a-bye-baby.

She loves walking around without her socks on, but when she can walk around in nothing but her diaper she is in seventh heaven, as you can tell from the next three pictures. She also looks a lot like her mother at this age.

Sledding

During the month of January we had the fun opportunity to go sledding in our front yard. We made a little runway and our neighbor's came over and we had a blast. Jeff kept making the track bigger and bigger. It was also Kaylie's first time to go sledding. She didn't know quite what to make of it.

Our Shepherd

Friday night Daniel was to be a Shepard in our ward Christmas party. They had the nursery dress up as nativity characters while one of the young men read the Christmas story. This was my favorite part of the night.

Here is the video I took of Daniel part in the nativity story. It is from a side angle, but better than nothing at all. He had so much fun, and it was so much fun watching him. Jeff and I were all smiles.

Kaylie has become mobile

This week has definatly been a interesting one. Kaylie has finally made up her mind that she wants to walk. She is trying to walk every where now, as well as carry things while she is walking and pick toys up from the middle of the floor after walking to them. It is so fun to see her walking and then how excited she gets when we tell good job. I can't believe how quickly she is growing up. She has recently turned 14 months old and I can't believe it. Time does sure fly when you are busy; I mean having fun.

Boot-scoot Walking

Tonight, Kaylie has had a first. She has been trying to walk for the past couple of months, but she has had to hold onto someone to walk. Well tonight we finally got her to hold onto this lawn mower and she then spent the next 1/2 hour walking around our house with a big smile on her face. As a family we are so excited, this is her next step to independence.YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello to everyone. Sorry about not putting up any new posts for a very long time. The past couple months have been really busy and they have flown by. Everyone is doing great. Daniel keeps asking when he gets to go to school, and his imagination is soaring. Jeff is busy with work, but a good busy. Kaylie loves to get into anything and everything she is not supposed to. I know that is I don't hear her that I need to go running to she what she has gotten herself into. She is becoming very vocal. She can say mom, brother, dad, apple, up and red (for the horse at my uncle's farm). I am doing well, and loving life.

Kaylie loves music. One Sunday morning recently Kaylie and disappeared and gotten really quiet, so I took of running to look for her and found her dancing to the music on the tv. It was so cute to watch her. Hopefully any day now she will make up her mind that she wants to walk and then I will have video of her doing that, but unfortunately she is rather stubborn and would rather hold onto things and scoot than walk, even though she can do it very well.

Fall Leaves

The new house that we moved into this summer is surrounded by oaks, maples and a few other kinds of trees. During the summer our house was nice and cool, but now that fall is here, watch out!!!!!!!!!! It is raining LEAVES, and LEAVES and more LEAVES. Halloween 2008

Halloween was really fun this year. Daniel got to dress up twice as two different characters, and he got to go trick or treating at a mall and in our neighborhood. For the 31st he wanted to be a lion. He had a blast that night handing candy out to the kids who came to our door. Every time the doorbell would ring he would yell "tick or treaters" at the top of his lungs.

Daniel also got to dress up as a pirate for our ward's fall festival. He went as a good Captain Hook.

Now Miss Kaylie only got to have one costume this year, but she was the cutest pumpkin I have every seen. I have know idea how Daniel ever fit into this costume, because he was several months older and quiet a bit bigger when he got to wear it. She had a good time and is enjoying all of Daniel's tootsie rolls he got.

I can't wait to see what next Halloween's costumes will be.

Kaylies Birthday--October

Now that Kaylie is 13 months old I thought I would put up her birthday pictures. She had a blast eating her chocolate cake. She now has an amazing sweet tooth. We had some friends over to eat cake and ice cream and had a blast.

Daniels 3rd Birthday!!!!!!

Daniels birthday started out interesting. In the morning we went to help out at an estate sale till noon. After that we came back had lunch and then went to the pool. Daniel had a blast he even swam a little all by himself. Then we came back to the house and Grandma Brenda and Grandpa John's present had arrived for him, so we called them and they said he could open it right then. He has had a blast playing pilot. Afterwards we went out for Chicken nuggets and french fries for his birthday dinner.

The next day was his birthday party. It was held at one of the local parks. That morning Jeff and Daniel went to work in our garden till it was time to go and get the Lightning McQueen ice cream cake. While they were doing this I was busy at home making guacamole and fruit salad, and frosting cupcakes. Below is a picture of Samantha, Glen and their mom.

The Cake!!!!!!

There was a storm start to move in and the wind was strong enough that we couldn't keep the candles lit, so Daniel didn't get to blow them out, although Sunday night our power went out and we lit some candles then and sung Happy Birthday to him again and he got to blow the candles out when the power came back on.

While Daniel was opening his presents we where cleaning up because the storm was moving in fast. Daniel only got to open half of his presents before it started to rain. He opened the other half when we got back to the house.

Playing Together

One day we decided to pull the blocks out and Daniel and Kaylie had a fun time playing with each other. Daniel worked on building a castle and Kaylie worked on putting as many blocks into her moth as possible. Daniel was very proud of the castle he built and couldn't wait to nock it over so he could build another one.

This month Kaylie has decided to try and learn how to crawl and walk at the same time. She tries to pull her self of onto her feet using anything she can reach. She also loves to play patty cake and loves to stand more than sit now. She seems to be changing ever day or that is what Jeff thinks at least. She also loves any of Daniel's toys. She thinks she should get to play with all of them, and dosen't understand that some are dangerous for her.

Our Garden

This week Clifton Park has been blessed with an abundance of water. Each time we thought of heading to Easton to weed the garden it would rain here. Finally Saturday rolled around and it was supposed to be nice and sunny so we head to our garden. When we got there we found out that Easton had not received any of the water Clifton Park was so blessed with. It was baffling, Easton is only 15-20 miles North East of our apartment, so sufficed to say we spent the day weeding and watering our drought inflicted garden.
